how did you prepare for induction?

I'm being induced tonight at 6pm and I just have no idea what to expect. Trying to keep myself busy today so I don't worry myself to death. What did you do to prepare? Share your story.

I got induced at 10am within 45 mins I was getting period pains but midwife told me it normal to feel them, by 1pm I was 2 cm dialated, at 2:05pm my waters broke so I got took to delivery suite, the pains was unbearable, I was only 4cm dialated by then.... I'd had the pethadine at about 2:30pm by 6:30pm I was in and out of sleep and starting to feel abit weak and the contractions were getting worse so I asked for an epidural half and hour later you could see the difference in me I felt more relaxed managed to have a kip couldn't feel the contractions as much and if I did they were copeable at 9pm I was 10cm dialated... I had to wait till 11pm to push and by 12:28am my lil girl was born

They tell you it could take up to 48 hours for anything to work so I just thought I'd be waiting for 2days but nope bam it hits you so be prepared!!!

I got induced 4 wks ago with my little man, I took plenty of snacks magazines crosswords and my iPad to watch films on with me cos I got told it could take up to 3 days for anything to happen I got induced at 12 in afternoon with a pessary inserted by 4 o clock I was getting really bad bad period pains ( which later found or was contractions ) moved to delivery room at 8 and he was born just b4 midnight. There isn't much to prep but your bags and list of the first people you're telling about the baby's arrival.

I was induced, and it was pretty boring because you're in the hospital your entire labor, so bring stuff to occupy you and whoever else you wish to have present... you won't be able to eat anything but clear liquids so good luck. Only food I was allowed to eat was jello.
