Ovarian Cyst?

Question

Any other ladies get them? I went to the ER today for lower abdominal pain (I thought I had appendicitis) but after a very invasive ultrasound (ughhhh) it was determined that I have a cyst on my right ovary.

It's annoying. But I'm glad I don't have to get my appendix out.

I have Ovarian Cysts and i'm 16!! i First found out that I had them almost 2 years ago when one ruptured and I couldn't breathe because of how much pain I was in. I was home alone babysitting my little sister while my mom was at work. She wasn't answering her phone so I had called 911 for the first time ever. I could barely talk. but they finally got to my house and took me and my little sister into the ambulance and they went to my moms work to tell her... ANYWAYS. When i had gotten into the ER, they immediately made me drink lots of fluids and gave me shots and pain medication so i could calm down and they could try to figure out what was going on. I I had to drink to make my bladder full so they could give me a ultrasound to see what was happening. They saw another cyst on my ovaries! They made me take a Urine test to see if i was pregnant, just in case. But at that time i wasn't sexually active. They told my mom they recommended me to go on birth control for the cramps because of how bad my periods are !! She said no because i was 14 about to turn 15. So i basically lived off of Ibuprofen. Recently about 2 months ago, my second cyst ruptured and i went to the doctors this time and they finally put my on birth control! Ever since i've been RELIVED!! Highly recommend that..

Yes, they suck!!! My Dr recommended a high protein diet and it's cut down on my cysts tremendously!

Yes! I get them a few times a year and the bursting is the worst pain I've ever felt.

I used to have crippling abdominal pain. It lasted for like 4 months. I couldn't go to school because I couldn't move. It felt like my insides were being ripped out. I finally got an ultrasound and they saw a little bit of fluid around my ovaries and they said it looks like I HAD a cyst that recently popped and the pain should go away in a week. I was so mad 😂 that tiny thing put me through hell.

Yes, I have them on my left ovary and cervix. Very painful 😖 especially during invasive ultrasound. I've had 3/4 ruptures since June 2016.
