I'm scheduling a c section and want to know how soon do they do it?

Usually scheduled abouta month prior, and done at 38 or 39 weeks depending on baby's size, progression, your health, etc.

My doc told me they won't do it until 39 weeks for singleton, 38 for twins. Might depend on hospital policy and/or insurance.

Probably during your 39th week. That's when I'll be having mine. But it may depend on your doctor and the reasons for having the c-section in the first place. Certain higher risk pregnancies I imagine might be scheduled for sooner.
