Lower right abdominal pain during sex

So my husband and I are trying to conceive and this week I've been coming up on my ovulation date and I noticed a severe pain in the lower right quadrant of my abdomen whenever he would penetrate deeply. The pain has lasted into today and again during sex. This has happened before but I don't know what it means...is this normal?
