It can help prevent them by nourishing the skin and it's supposed to help fade them also but unfortunately they are hireditary and your genes pre-determine wether your prone to getting them. Lots of things cause them like growth spurts, weight gain, hormones, pregnancy. Once you have them there is nothing that removes them because they are actually tears under the skin.

It's working for me! Got really bad stretch marks on stomach and thighs from pregnancy, they were in your face bright red and horrible, I've been using once a day for 2 months (supposed to use twice a day for 2 months) they have faded so much already even my OH noticed the difference!!!

Ive been using bio oil at night time before bed since 2 months now I'm 7 months and so far no stretch marks. I also use palmers cocoa after shower..

I've been using it since about half way through my second trimester and it faded the dark ones I was getting on my breasts and some I got on my butt. I did use it all over my stomach so I'm not sure if it prevented me getting them on my belly or not since I only have a few right above my belly button.

It can help fade them but nothing will prevent them 😭

I used it through my whole pregnancy and didn't get stretch marks until I was 36 weeks. Nothing you can really do to prevent it at that point there is just too much weight
