Update On My Thumb

I fee days ago, I slammed my thumb in my car... how?  I have no freaking idea. But its been 5 days since the incident and the swelling has decreased and my finger is slowly but quickly losing the buise. But in the cuticle area, there is a slight lump, I've reading that its an air bubble.... idk if I trust the Internet's advice to stick a sharp needle in to release the pressure, so I wantedto ask you guys.. How should I handle it? I smashed my finger before but it was near the tip of my nail, not right by the cuticle.
