Anyone doing dream feeding?

I'm considering maybe starting to dream feed my 1 month old right before I go to bed. But I'm very nervous that it will back fire and he wil wake up and not want to go back to sleep! Lol 
Anyone doing dream feeding? If so, how is it going?

Does your LO go back to sleep easily when you nurse during the night? If so the Dreamfeed will probably be great! If they have a hard time going back down even during middle of the night feedings I don't suggest waking for the DF.

No I didn't with my second with my first I did and it backfired completely lol

Yes, our LO would do his last awake feeding between 7-7:30. We'd "wake" him (often he would just stay asleep) to change his diaper and nurse him before we went to sleep at 10:30. He'd then sleep the night until 5.  Weve since dropped the dreamfeed and he goes all night from the time he's down until 7 am.

That happened to me once! We also had other problems with it - lack of burping afterward caused issue even though he drank it slow and not as much, he got gas pains and my little guy still woke up at his predictable times even with the dream feed  so all around it didn't seem worth it.  If you have the energy to try it once knowing it could backfire you don't have much to loose but we just stopped attempting

What is a Dream Feed?

My little one will dream feed once or twice during the night. It's great for us. I will say she doesn't burp (I try to anyways), but I read because they drink slower that they don't always have to burp if they are breastfed. So far we haven't had any problems with it. She is a pretty heavy sleeper though and we can change her diaper and she will go right back to sleep if she is in her night time sleeping mode.
