Do You Burp A Breastfeed Baby?

I was told you don't have to burp your lo after he/she have just got done nursing what's your opinion on this?

If you don't you risk crazy gas.

I think it depends on your LO- i did in the first two month bc she was so gassy and spit up a lot. But now I rarely do and her digestive system is more mature so she's fine. You'll notice also if you eat gassy foods then it's more important to burp your LO- at least in my experience

If I pump and give him a bottle definitely have to burp him. If he just has boob, he sometimes does small burps while still attached to me.

My daughter is EBF and she belches after every nursing session. My husband has often looked over and said, "Was that you or her?" She is just a naturally gassy baby, always burping and tooting. But, I also have her on Zantac for reflux, so that may have something to do with it.

I think every baby is different. I've tried burping my baby and never get one out of her. Some babies get gas easy and some don't. So it's up to you and what your baby needs

I always try to burp and sometimes I get a burp and sometimes I don't. Mostly she burps on her own..

Breastfed and formula burps are different for my LO, breastfed are tiny and very faint burps and her formula are a lot and louder

I never did with my 2nd but my 3rd is sooooo windy she needs it

I only do if they have unlatched a few times because then they got more air in. We have never had any issues. Obviously if it seem like there's an air bubble then we burp but its not all the time.
