Proper crib and bassinet?

I know this may sound dumb as hell, but i was wondering how to set up the bedding. We have a bassinet and we also have a 4 in 1 crib. I was given a lot of sheets and blankets. Also I'm due in a month and our house is drafty and cold. How do i make sure to use the blankets safely? How do i make sure my baby will be warm enough? I might go to the store and look at their display cribs and ask but other than that im at a loss and im worried i don't know what im doing. I also was given a crib bumper but i cant seem to figure the best way its attached. It wraps all the way around the inside of the crib.  Please help!😅😎😄😲😉

Great questions!! The only think a baby's crib is supposed to have in it/on it is an fitted sheet. No bumpers, loose sheets or stuffed animals. Keep baby warm by dressing in warm sleepers and swaddling. You can search the ABCs of safe sleep. Or the nurses at the hospital can give you guidance! Save all the beautiful stuff you got for your toddler! :)

Babies can't use any loose blankets until they are much older. Their crib and bassinet should only have a sheet.  Put their bassinet in a non-drafty spot, dress them in long sleeved sleepers, and swaddle them tightly. As for the bumpers, that's a debated topic. Some people think they are dangerous and shouldn't be used, but others don't agree. It's up to you. They should come with some kind of instructions to hook them up to the crib if you need them.

Are they fitted sheets? If so just put them over the mattress. 
Flat sheets you need to tuck them all under the mattress safely so they don't come undone.

Dress baby warmly for bed time. Fleece all in ones are good for cold weather.

Some people write on here babies aren't allowed blankets. Never heard of that myself. I always used a blanket and tucked my baby in it with the sides tucked into and under the mattress so that it wasn't flopping about. My son sleeps like me (like a log) anyway so he never got wrapped up or tangled in his.

The bumpers are optional. Lots of people don't like them as they could come undone . It's up to you. There are all different types check instructions if it has them.

Swaddling is good for warmth of baby tolerates it. Mine never .

Room thermometer. Ideal temp is between 16-20 degrees celcius. We kept our room at 18. In our daughter's snuzpod she had a mattress, waterproof mattress protector and a jersey cotton fitted sheet. She normally wore a vest and a sleepsuit (no hats indoors). They should always be placed feet to foot (their feet should be touching the bottom part of the bassinet/crib or whatever, any blankets should be tucked under their arms (little arms over the blanket) and tucked under the mattress. If you're afraid to use a blanket, sleeping bags are a good option, you just need to make sure they're not too big where they can wiggle into them. Babies are most likely to be warm than cold since not a lot of them sweat properly during their first few weeks. Their hands and feet might look blueish but that's normal and it doesn't mean they're cold. Best place to check baby's temp is to touch baby's chest, tummy or back to feel if baby is too hot or too cold. Baby's tummy and chest should feel warm and dry, not sweaty or cold.

This is my second child and I agree with the other ladies. Baby only needs to sleep on a fitted sheet inside of a sleepsack, swaddler, or blanket sleeper.  No blankets or bumpers, not even mesh bumpers bc they increase the risk of Sids. My sons pediatrician explained the risk when he was born and recently told me not to even use a mesh bumper for the new baby.
