Husband gets horny when I'm upset?

Question

Is it just me or has your partner noticingly become erect when you've been upset over anything at all?
It's happened for as long as I can remember and have asked politely why he may feel that way and he doesn't seem to really understand either.
I'm just curious if anyone else has any stories they could share to help understand. Not particularly that it's an issue at all but just better informed. I couldn't think of anything of that kind if I tried if he was to be upset? Any ideas or experiences with this?

Omg! Whenever I cry my husband gets like a raging boner. I've asked him about it and he doesn't seem to understand why either but I also looked it up on Reddit just for fun and there was a whole post about it. Apparently there's a psychological aspect where the man feels like it's his way of protecting the female (idk how) but the other thing was that they're just trying to make you happy subconsciously. So there's that.

I get what your saying completely, like me and hubby will be arguing and I'll be in tears ( I cry so easy it's sad) but the argument will be over and I'll still be sniffling and all sad and next thing I know I look over and bam and I've asked him and he says it's cause when we get past a argument he wants to be close and intimate that he doesn't just want to say I love you he wants to show it. Can't really argue with that just wish I could get over the argument that fast lol
