Hello! So this really has nothing to do with this app, but I would really value all of your opinions. For my college we are required to do 40 hours of community service each year. I want to do something out of the 📦box. I'm used to volunteering for organizations but this time I want to start something on my own. I want to start an organization called the Blanket Project. I would make a Go Fund Me and with the money from that I would buy. Blankets ( and possibly pillows and other things, but for now I'm focusing on blankets). I would go around to the homeless people in Tulsa (there's quite a few) and give these blankets to them. I would go to churches and ask the pastor if there are families in need of blankets because maybe a family is going through a rough time and is having trouble paying for heating. I would go to half way houses and donate blankets to them, and to women's (and men's) shelters. I even want to go to some animal shelters and donate to the animals- who wants to sleep on a cold and hard floor?? I do not want any of the money from the go fund me. This is purely something good I want to do for others. I want to give back, and what better time to do so than during the holiday season? I would make a facebook for the Blanket Project telling all about my mission and posting updates and positive things. What do you ladies think? I'm sure there are other organizations like this, but I guess I just want to do something on my own for a change. And yes, some people are homeless for reasons that are not very respectful, for lack of better words, but I do believe that everyone deserves to be warm- especially over this Holliday season. Please let me know what you think! And if you don't like my idea I 100% understand and respect that, so please don't be rude about your comments.
