3 week old caught our cold?

Can't do or give anything right ? Just have to wait out unless he gets a really high fever ? Been awhile since I've had a newborn ha! And when can you start giving gas drops ? He seems to be having a hard time with the passing gas since yest

Saline drops and a snotsucker for stuffy noses. Humidifier. Elevate the head of the crib a smidge to help breathing. You can also use Vicks baby rub on their chests. Tylenol if they seem to be in pain or running a fever. Anything over 100.4 call your doctor though. Until they are two months old fevers have to be taken really seriously.

I don't think they have OTC for babies that young. You can use a humidifier, which is recommended anyway. My son's doctor said that when I took a hot shower to bring him into the bathroom with me (not in the shower ) & steam the bathroom. He said it helps breathing. Then there is the lovely sucky bulb thing. & saline. Good luck.
