Hysteroscopy - anyone had one?

Question

I'm scheduled for a hysteroscopy (camera in the uterus to make sure everything looks ok before transfer of frozen embryo). This comes complete with Lidocaine injections in my cervix. I am a bit nervous!! Any input or support? I'm pretty sure this is going to be terrible! My doctor is doing the trial transfer in the same appointment.

We did this and I won't sugar coat it, it was painful. But worth knowing all looks healthy in there for for the transfer. I closed my eyes and tried to take my mind to a different place. Women are A LOT stronger than we give ourselves credit for!

They won't be sedating me and apparently I'll be getting a lidocaine injection into my cervix. That's the part that scares me!! Anyone been awake for this?

I had a hysterscopy a few weeks ago and was out under general anesthesia. It didn't hurt at all and the doctor found a polyp which could interfere with baby-making, so I was grateful for that. No pain at all, good luck, it's definitely not too bad!

It definitely wasn't pleasant, but I thought mine was less painful than my HSG was. However, my doctor also prescribed a Valium which I think helped a lot. Best of luck to you!
