Anyone deal with thrush?

Wanting to hear others experiences and how long it took to go away. My poor babe was diagnosed today. Gave her Nyastatin today and for the next hour whenever she nursed she would immediately vomit everything back up. She's ok now but this sucks :( And it also explains why my nipples are so sore!

Rub some of the medicine on ur nipples as well it help from speeding back n fourth. Also get nipple shields ASAP, they work so well & saved my life

Well the Nystatin isn't working. My nipples feel worse than before and poor baby's stomach can't handle even a half dose of it. I read Nystatin only works in about 40% of cases. And that thrush can take months to get rid of 😩 Now to survive until Monday when we can get back to the doctor. 😞

Thank you all! I hope it clears up fast. And I'm wondering now how to tell when it's gone for sure so I'll know when it's safe to start pumping for stockpiling. 😐 Maybe waiting about a week after stopping the meds to be sure?

The first two weeks baby and I were passing it back and fourth EBF, it took medicine and 4 weeks to be completely gone.

I just found out I had it a couple days ago. Doc gave me nyastatin (or however you spell it lol) and I'm pretty sure it's been helping with the pain and visible yeast. Will se how log it takes to fully go away.
