Finally!! The moment I've been waiting for, to be able to tell my birth story! :D p.s its long!

Lets start off with saying my due date was November 26th and for 2 weeks we've been telling baby to not come on Thanksgiving day. Looks like he wanted to get revenge lol

Anyway, it was Wednesday November 23rd and I woke up at 9:30am to pee and when I was walking towards the restroom I feel something wet my pad (I wore liners cause of discharge, yuck) and when I checked it looked like I peed but just to be on safe side I called nurse to ask what I should do. After that lil show I started getting some contractions but not painful. My nurse called me back at 12pm and told me to head to l&d so I called my husband to let him know we have to leave since he was working. I also called his mom to let her know I would drop off our daughter (3years old) to go to the hospital.

We got to the hospital at 1:30 and they took me to triage to check if it was my water that ruptured. Btw I went to the doctors on Tuesday November 22nd and I was 1/50. So when they check me at around 3pm I was 4cm and they decide to admit me. I wanted a natural non-medicated birth but didn't mind to get the epidural if I couldn't take the pain. At around 5pm I was 6/80. I started walking, rolling my hips, breathing through each contraction, and even got in the tub. By 8pm I was 6/100. I started getting exhausted with the pain cause my contractions were coming in at 2's and so they thought baby was posterior so they had me leaning on the bed rocking my hips and it hurt at that point. By 10pm I was still 6/100 so I got the epidural (thank god) and the nurse had me lay on my side and put a peanut ball in between my legs to see if I dilate quicker and so I did. By 12am I was 10/100. Started practice pushes at 12:30 am and had baby at 12:53am November 24th. I had the epidural but man did I feel that baby come out lol.. He weighed 8lbs 3oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. Did not tear. Over all I was happy with my birth even if it didn't go as I planned. If you want an all natural non-medicated birth then try it, and believe in yourself, but if you do give in and get the epidural then do NOT think you are less of a mom than the ones who don't get the epidural. <3
