Cot bedding?!

Question

I am trying to buy bedding for my daughters cot however I am unsure of what I need. Mattress, fitted sheet, quilt cover however do I NEED the bumper that covers the top of the cot / the bumper bars that go around the cot or not?!

No you don't need them they're just optional extras some people don't like the bumpers because they can get untied and end up in the cot with baby which they feel is dangerous. 
It's up to you. 
The top bumper do you mean the plastic that goes round the cot? Some cots come with them. They're for babies once they have teeth in some babies bite the wood on the cot. But again it's just optional x
