How long did it take?

I was on birth control for about 4 years and now my husband and I are in our 6th month of trying. Period is supposed to start tonorrow, but we made sure to have sex during my fertility window. How long should we continue to try before seeking help? Both 27 and healthy.

It's different for everyone else. I read somewhere where you can request testing whenever you want and there's not really a "1 year" rule. I also read that if you know you are timing intercourse right for 4-6 cycles it's doctor worthy. This info came from "taking charge of your fertility" FYI. This is mine and my husbands 5th cycle and my period is also due tomorrow or Sunday, and I am giving it 6 months. I'm 26 and he's 35. I have regular cycles and we are tracking ovulation.
