Do you think having a child should go through the same process as adopting one?! Background checks, checking annual income, home inspections, and or drug tests? And do you think if we did this it would take away a lot of child abuse that goes on today!?

No I don't. Having children shouldn't be decided by the state. Also not all those things listed make someone a bad parent by default.

The state can already remove children at birth if the parent(s) have a significant history of abuse. Anything beyond that is a direct attack on reproductive rights.

Passing a background check or having a "good enough" income doesn't mean you'll be a good parent. What about the people who desperately want a child and would do anything for them, a person who would never lay a hand on them. But they couldn't have one because someone else decided they didn't have the money or the means to take care of them. It's not right to try to take somebody's right to choose away from them.

I think some parts of applying for adoption are ridiculous and unnecessary (such as a minimum required income or required martial status). So no, I don't think those ttc should go through it either.

Absolutely NOT! not everyone has the perfect income, home or even background for that matter but that would does mean they won't love and cherish and go to the end of the earth for their baby!!

What does drugs, money, home inspections or background checks have to do with being a parent? I lived in a nice house with money, neither of my parents gad a criminal or any other history and no drugs and i was still abused. But my children are raised in a crummy apartment, with minimal money and im not abusive

No. So many things are wrong with that. Mainly that it's so personal and even if you knew you could pass through it all with flying colors, that's just too much.
