Opinions? 12-hour diapers..... really?

Question

I recently discovered diapers that are sold as "overnight" or 12-hour diapers.

"Overnight"..... would imply that you can just let him/her keep sleeping undisturbed all night .... ??

This seems crazy.... 
Almost any baby will poop in a 12-hour period.  There's no such thing as a magical diaper that can safely or comfortably hold poop until morning.

.... Is there??

If your baby poops you definitely want to change them but after a couple months old most babies won't poop at night (or at least not that often) you can let them sleep without changing their diaper until morning ... and hope they sleep all night!

I dont change my son during the night, simply because he is starting to sleep through finally (he's almost 2 now). I honestly cant remember the last time he pooed in the night, not since he was only a few months. There are few mornings he wakes up really wet either. I think those nappies are more aimed at young children who sleep through the night but still pee quite a bit. Because honestly if your child is sleeping through, your not gonna get up in the middle of the night to change them.

My first slept from 8 pm to 8am 
I shore as hell didn't lol 
She never pooed till she woke I tried waking her for feeds ect but she would like everywhere cause she just wasn't hungry 
But she was gaining more weight then expected 
So I started letting her sleep through with out force feed and she was still happy healthy and gaining more then the average guess it depends on the child

From birth my daughter didn't poo through the night. She did plenty during the day, but I can distinctly remember there just being 2 occasions when she has ever done one at night. It was such a shock her doing it that it sticks with me.I never   changed her through the night (other than the 2 poo occasions) as she didn't like to be changed, she just wanted to be fed.
No idea why she only did them during the day, but she's now a healthy almost 3 year old and has been out of nappies for a year.

I wouldn't leave baby unchanged overnight. That's how you get UTI's and diaper rashes. Not to mention leaving pee for hours makes for an AWFUL smell

My babies both started sleeping through the night at 3 months, and no way did I wake them up to change them.  Since I was also blissfully sleeping and all that. Probably not 12 hours but 8 for sure.  I wasn't going to get up in the middle of the night just to check if they pooped.
