My boyfriend has a cold sore at the moment and I explained to him that I don't think we should be kissing or performing oral on each other until it clears up. My reasoning is that I don't want to break out myself, and even if I don't break out, I'll risk spreading it to the kids I nanny. I'm generally good at washing my hands, but I can't be too cautious! At the ages the kids are at, if the infection is even on my fingers from touching my mouth, it can make them break out 😳.
