anyone having trouble getting into doctor?

I just found out I was pregnant on thanksgiving morning. My doctor has a 4 month wait til my first appointment. That would make me just over 20 weeks at my first appointment. I'm so disappointed! I really loved him with my son so I'm hesitant to switch. What would you do?

If you really love that Doctor I'd go somewhere else for a dating appointment and maybe a 14-16 week appointment and then switch

Are there other doctors within the practice that you could see? I would worry that, if it's so hard to get the initial appointment, that it will be challenging to get future appointments as well! That would be so frustrating! Do what's best for you!

My first appt was 19 weeks. But I did get my blood tested before this, you will need blood work done before 20 weeks and an ultrasound scheduled. I didn't get my ultrasound until almost 25 weeks.

Definitely go see another doctor and if you really like that one switch later. But you never know, you may find one that you really click with and like better then the doctor you have to wait 4 months for. But that's a ridiculous wait and makes me wonder if you have to wait that long to get in what kind of care you are going to receive under that doctor.

Definitely a different doctor. There are so many things they need to check you for before 20 weeks that are time sensitive and you will miss those if you wait to see a doc at 20 weeks.

Find a diffeeen doctor.  Most doctors will
See you at 8 weeks, but not before, unless you are irregular. 20 weeks means you are halfway rebought your pregnancy. That's ridiculous.
