Has anyone had back labor ? Thinking I may be having it

Been having sharp pains since 7 it's now 10. It's a very very painful sharpness low back by tail bone and moves up my spine to my neck ? When it happens I cannot move it hurts too much

I had it with my first. It was awful. I was only 2cm when I went to hospital and am hour after my epidural I was 7cm. Back labor was so awful I couldn't progress with the labor bc of how tense and in pain I was.  I had no control over my limbs every time a contraction came, it looked like a seizure each time.

Hop in a bathtub if you don't want/can't get an epidural yet. It helped make the pain more bearable.

I'm actually going through this now. I was in L&D all day yesterday with back contractions. I was 100% effaced and contracting every 10 minutes. But I wasn't dilated so after a few hours they sent me home to wait it out. It hurts like heck though. Every time I contract pain shoots up my back and wraps around to the front giving me cramps and my whole stomach tightens up. I can't move or barely breathe when it happens.

You might be having a back spasm after your contractions I've experienced that a few times.

I had horrible back labor with my first but that sounds different. I would call your dr to make sure
