which hospital to choose!?

Okay so my SO and I got to talking about hospitals today. We are 5wk 5 days today and I hadn't made our first appt yet. For our first 3 miscarriages we went to the same medical group and didn't have the greatest experiences. After we found out about our 3rd miscarriage we went to a different hospital to get another opinion. I LOVED it there and the doctor was amazing. I was so excited about going back to her but I called today just to find out that she is no longer there! :( super bummed! And I got to thinking today too and someone please give advice as to wether this is dumb or not...

I kinda wanted to go back to hospital #1 because I was hoping that my dr might be there.. BUT

My SO also has a 3 year old girl whom he had at the second hospital with her mom. The more I think about it I kinda don't want to driver there only because I want our experience of bringing a baby into this world to be completely different then his daughters birth with her mom.

Now I do think this might be the hormones talking but when your SO says things like "oh yes we did that with baby there" and "I remember we did that there".. it kinda bothers me because I want a new experience for the both of us.

Someone please tell me I'm not crazy! I also know how dumb it sounds. I tried to talk to my SO about why I would want to try the first obgyn again and apparently didn't explain it right because he straight hung up on me.

I don't blame you one but and your SO needs a straight up attitude adjustment if he thinks it's ever appropriate to hang up on you.

Lots of men don't understand how hard it is for a step mom .. I'm a step mom of 2 and I dont blame you .. I wouldn't want to be in the same hospital listening to his old memories with his other child's mom .. its normal and he needs to understand that! You're not alone mama

Honestly, go to the hospital on your insurance that is closest. Unless you are scheduling a c section you can't kniw the dr who will deliver. Previous good experience at a hospital is a huge plus, who cares who it was. Every baby is different and he will love you and this baby as much as his first. Go to the hospital that is the easiest,  gives you a good vibe.  Don't think about fact he was there before.
