Braxton hicks or Labor?

So I'm still confused about the difference between Braxton hicks & actual labor. I've had pressure and back pain for the last 2 hours now. Tried changing positions, getting on all four etc and nothings changed. It's barer able but painful at the same time. Almost feels like I need to poop. Can someone tell me what's going on? Currently 31 weeks gestation, first pregnancy.

If say start timing them. I believe the only difference is that Braxton hicks won't be that persistent, they'll be random and won't get more intense with time.
If they are coming regularly for 2 hours it sounds like it could be early labour.

I've experienced a bunch of strange things that scare me of early labor and all that. One day I started out with pressure down there that stayed all day. By the evening I could barely walk or lift my legs. Everything hurt. I called my Dr and it was all because of babies positioning. My Dr always says it's normal and I'm doing great. So now anything weird I may get I just brush aside lol I'm just about 35 weeks. I hope your okay!
