How Long Should You Take Prenatals while your TTC?

You should take them 3 months before trying to get pregnant, ideally. It has to do with the folic acid. If you don't have enough in your body before conception, you increase the risk of your child having spina bifda. By the time you're pregnant, it's too late to prevent as the baby takes from what your body already has stored, and not from anything new you put into it until the cord attaches a few weeks later.

I've seen ideally 3 months before getting pregnant, so I started taking them as soon as we started trying and now it's my 3rd cycle trying. And then throughout entire pregnancy and then I'm not sure how long after.

The whole time. I even started taking mine a few months before we really started trying. There's no harm in taking a prenatal- only benefit!

Oh, and I took a gummy without iron in it and supplemented with a slow release iron pill to help fight nausea. Good luck!
