Peanuts?

Question

Has anyone introduced peanuts to their little ones yet? Did you start with peanut butter? I've heard doctors recommending to start introducing anywhere from 9 months to 2 years, so I was curious when you started, how you started, and how it went.

I was waiting until a year, but at Christmas my grandmother asked if she could give my daughter a piece of a cookie, and without thinking I said, "sure". Turns out it was a peanut butter cookie. Luckily she's not allergic!

That was one of the first foods my guy had. He loves it so much now. I started it by dipping his apple slices in the peanut butters around 5 and a half months so he could naw on them.

Peanut butter on toast no reaction but just didnt like it. But like mummy he is allergic to fish. Xx

Omg yes!! My daughter LOVES peanut butter! We started at about 10 months

Yup around 11 months we tried a thin layer of peanut butter on toast. 😊 No issues.

I was washing dishes and took my eye off my son for probably 10 minutes,  I go looking for him and my 10 year old sister and 4 year old sister went to sit with him in his play pen with a jar of peanut butter each taking licks off the spoon. He was 6 months at the time and that's how I found out he wasn't allergic to peanut butter lol. I was planning on introducing it at 8 months with those Austin's peanut butter crackers lol

I gave him peanut butter and he was fine my mom gave him cashews and walnuts and he had an allergic reaction had to take him to the E.R. And his doctor said no nuts till we know for sure what he's allergic to.

If your baby is high risk (has eczema or family history) then they recommend doing an allergy panel before introducing nuts/shellfish. Mine is allergic to peanuts, hazelnuts, and pecans but I found out after a peanut allergy reaction. :( luckily she is OK.

Gave allegen food eggs, peanuts & fish at 6 months. (I'm allergic to eggs & fish) lil guy really bad with fish and tomatos?! But was fine with everything else altho he hated the peanut butter he didnt have a reaction
