cerclage anyone?

I have PCOS, I'm 10 weeks 5 days today with my second child and have an incompetent cervix and have to get a preventive cerclage soon as my first pregnancy I had an emergent one at 21 weeks. Anyone else have a cerclage or needing one? Any bedrest? I'm hoping to avoid bedrest this time around as I spent half my first pregnancy on it due to emergent cerclage. I had an ultrasound yesterday and baby looks great, HB 169 ❤️ feeling very blessed just having anxiety about cervix issue.

I had a rescue cerclage at 18wks with my last and have incompetent cervix. I'm having mine placed at 12 weeks this time so I'm a couple of weeks! So far, no talk of bedrest until we see how it works for me this time. Also, I will start progesterone supplementation to help support the pregnancy. Fingers crossed for no preterm labor this time! I did 10 weeks of complete bedrest with my first, (ptl began at 24wks) and 6 weeks with my last! It would be so awesome to carry to term and not worry about preemies! I would strongly urge you to get a TAC, transabdominal cerclage, it's permanent, you get to get pregnant and have sex downside future babies will be born via c section, but if you chose to have more kids there will be no more needs for a vaginal cerclage. Less risk of infection with a TAC than the one done vaginally.

So, I went back to the obgyn to follow up on when I was going to get the cerclage done, and he flat out told me, he will not performed the procedure because there is no scientific evidence that Is beneficial in twin pregnancies 😞 and there are risks of infection and even miscarriage. I feel a little confused, why send me to a high risk specialist if you're not even going to follow his recommendations. Im always nervous about the possibility that my cervix will open and I will end up losing my baby's. I really don't want to go through that again.

I just had my 3rd cerclage done 2 weeks ago. I'm 14 weeks now, no bed rest this time since I'm going to college part time and not working, my OB doesn't have any concerns with that. I'm still taking it very easy though.

I should be getting one by 12 weeks, as suggested by the MFM doctor, I had a miscarriage at 20 weeks due to incompetent cervix.  I'm hoping that at next weeks appointment, a surgery day will be setup. I feel anxious and nervous to get this over with.  I'm currently 10+4
