Scariest and happiest day of my life

Scariest and happiest day of my life.

I will keep my story short...

Water broke at 3am 1 day before my appointment to be induced. Got to the hospital and felt fine. Once contractions started to get strong I asked for pain meds/epidural. 2 hours after I asked for pain meds/epidural I finally got my epidural. After the epidural it was easy sailing. Then at about 3:30pm (11hrs after I got to the hospital) it was time to push. All was well until doctor tells me to stop and they start saying the umbilical cord is wrapped around my baby's neck. They cut the umbilical cord while the doctor uses her fingers to prevent it from fully choking my baby. Baby comes out, about 15 nurses/doctors rush into our room and start working on our baby. He was not breathing at all. I swear it was the longest 5-10mins of my life...but finally they got my baby to let out a tiny cry. It was still another 10 looong minutes before my little one was breathing well enough on his own for me to hold him.

I'm so grateful my little one made it through and my husband and I are madly in love with him. ♡♡♡
