I can't stop peeing help

Sooo my period is three days away and all day I have had no control of my bladder. I feel like I'm laughing at absolutely everything and have to pee every ten minutes I've never had this issue I've literally peed myself like five times today is this normal ? Could it be a uti or something ? I've never had this and it's not an Sti or anything freaky coz me and my bf have been together for six months I just feel so ashamed and it's embarrassing as fuck coz my bf has been home with me and told me to get off the bed and stay in the bathroom 😓
