Blood Test - where to go?

Hi! I just got my positive pregnancy test (okay 4) yesterday.. and wondering who you all have gone to for a blood test to confirm it? Does everyone do that right away? I'm planning on just calling the doctor I go to every year for a pap/physical. Does that work? Do I need to go somewhere else?

I go to my regular doctor before I see my ob and get blood work done to check my HCG count and that it is doubling every 48 hours. Normally, after the first two visits of it doubling I stop and wait until my first OB visit

My family physician did another urine test to confirm. She said no need for blood work until after 8 weeks.
