Finger Foods?

Ok so I'm trying my best to introduce my little to foods, I held off because I am breastfeeding and didn't want her to begin to wean...my silly question is can I give her banana? She has had the baby food bananas but not little pieces cut up...will she try and just swollow it?

It's interesting to see how each pediatrician recommends different things. At her 6 month check up, our pediatrician said she could move on to stage 3 foods as well as any dissolvable finger food, so we've been giving her puffs for about a month now and she does great with them. Babies don't need teeth to be able to "chew" soft/dissolvable finger foods. Go with whatever you feel your baby can handle!

I have given mine super ripe banana cut lengthwise (not rounds) so he can hold them like a stick and he likes them. He also has no teeth.

We do BLW, my daughter has eaten the same as us since 5.5 months. Never given her purees or cereals

Following as well. My pedi said only puréed foods until she cuts a tooth. She said to hold off on even the dissolvable cereal bites until 8-9 months.

I started my baby on cereal at 4 months. Then each week, introduced something new. She's 7 months & eats rice rusks, Cheetos puffs, French fries & noodles. I haven't given her anything that isn't smushy or dissolvable yet, but I'm gonna start introducing the more chunky baby foods next week then go from there.
