Do you think there needs to be an app for making girl friends?

Hey ladies, I'm in a rough patch. I need new friends, borderline desperate lol but not sure how to intentionally set out to find new friends. I don't have many friends. Like 4 and two moved out of state. It gets lonely. I think a "friends app" or "girl-friends" app catered for women would be awesome. The purpose would be to meet and actually do friend stuff.

I think you can put on your profile on Plenty of Fish that you're just looking for friends. Probably won't get responses from women though lol

I said no just because I think it would become yet another venue for girl on girl bullying. I also think it would attract trolls and possibly predators. Safety is my main concern with any app whose ultimate goal is physical meetings.

I mean, there's apps to find girlfriends, but not the sort you're looking for.

No because almost every app now asks you for your location services to be turned on. I have one I use for a few games I like and I am constantly being asked to turn my location settings on.

It got to the point I deleted it because really where I live is no one's business.

I would like one. I only have one good friend where I live and she's moving hours away soon for college .

There's an app called meetup where it's pretty much the same thing(not only women though) where you can search for hobby groups/mom groups/whatever groups in your area that meet up and do stuff they all enjoy. Might want to check it out.
