Alcoholic Dad Help....

My dad wasnt always like this... but its gotten bad these past few years. My dad is big. 6'6 and about 290 pounds... and a mean drunk. The last time I saw him really drunk, he yelled and screamed and threatened me two days before my wedding. He called me a disgustingly disrespectful and ungrateful daughter who didnt deserve the money ue contributed for my wedding. (I had simply made a remark about how stupid the presidential canidates were sounding as I passed the couch. Arguing, you know?) He apologized two days later after my mom made him sleep on the couch. He got drunk about 5 months after that and almost wrecked his relationship with my husband. I wrote him a very pointed email and he apologized the next day. My problem is that I want to do or say something for him to wake up, but we're in business together and he helps us a lot. My husband is a legal resident in the US but has only lived here a year. My dad helps a lot with telling us how to do stuff. We also rent a house of his. My mom doesnt condone his behavior at ALL but he really doesnt think he has a problem. (He's had one DUI) Tonight he came back home to our house at 11pm (He's visiting for the weekend) and was all mad that we were going to bed and didnt have a coctail ready for him when he got home. I'm 20 so when I do drink it's extremely rarely at home and neither does my hubby really either even though he technically can. (29) I had actually hidden all of the alcohol I own under our bed. I don't know what to do. My dad is a rediculously intelligent (Very high IQ) and generous man. It kills me to know him like that but then for him to come home and to make emotional threats. (Tomorrow I'm sleeping somewhere else, if you guys don't want to talk tonight just forget it it's over, Im a harder worker than you'll ever be, forget you.)  I feel bad but I went into his room and put some CBD oil into his water to help him sleep. I KNOW thats dreadful but he was starting to get really aggressive. What do I do??? I need real advice on how to help him without screwing us over. My dad can be extremely vengeful and vindictive. I hate that as far as my love for my parents my #1 is my mom and my #2 is my mother in law. It breaks my heart!
