Birth Control

First time starting birth control (chateal) and I know I did it so wrong. I was supposed to start around the time of my period, I didn't and usually my period would be coming around this time but it hasn't came yet, is this usual? I'm almost at the green pills now. I feel like this messed up my whole cycle... and I actually want to get my period I feel like getting your period is a natural thing.
