IKEA cribs??

I'm European and grew up with many things from IKEA in our home. I've been thinking about purchasing a IKEA crib however a coworker of mine said they weren't safe because they don't follow U.S standards? However, I think they're adorable!! Anybody have one? Let me see pictures and what do you think of the crib?😊😊

We are using one, I love it. Very sturdy and the IKEA mattress fits in snug and safe.

They sell cribs at Ikea in the US, so I don't see why not?

We have the Sniglar crib. It's sturdy and simple and works for us. It's also fairly lightweight so if we need to move it one of us can do it on our own. It also converts to a toddler bed.

I believe they need to follow the US standards to be sold in the US. We were in the US with #1 and got him a maxi cosi infant seat that fits on his stroller frame. Now we live in Europe and I noticed the maxi cosi seats have different names and designs and when I asked they told me that the US standards and the European standards are different and apparently if we take the seat we buy from Europe back home, we can't use it and vice versa 😒🤔

We've got an IKEA cot (we're in the UK so it's slightly different) but we love IKEA furniture and our friends have a 15 month old with the same cot and they love it!

We bought the simplest one from Ikea. I love it, it was easy to put together and I like the simplicity of it.

We didn't get one, but we did look at a few here in the US that passed regulations. I think some of the older ones don't but new ones should.  There was an issue with their dressers as a tipping hazard not long ago, but only because people didn't anchor them to the wall like the instructions said.

It shouldn't be a problem if you follow the instructions. Most problems occur because of error during construction, not actually because of the product or parts itself. They are also incredibly helpful if anything is missing or wrong. Never heard of any problems here, other than the wardrobe which someone else here mentioned was due to construction error (not fastening them to the wall as the instructions say).

Our home (and almost all of our friends homes) is basically 80% IKEA and we've never experienced any problems. So our crib and all baby furniture are probably going to come from IKEA as well, unless we find something we like more.
