Hey ladies, I have a question only because I'm anxious. I have my 16 week prenatal visit with my OB in a few days. Do you guys think it is likely that she will do an ultrasound and try to figure out the gender? I'm only asking because since I'm not a high risk pregnancy she only gave me an ultrasound when I was 8 weeks. For my 12 week visit she only used the Doppler just to make sure the babies heart rate is still good and that was it. I just feel like since I'll be 16 weeks I would hope that she didn't just do the Doppler for this visit. I'm so anxious to know what I'm having 😩😭

I live in Texas and only get 3 ultrasounds from my doctor. She said that's all they do for healthy pregnancies. The first one, one at 20 weeks and then another around 35 weeks. So no I doubt you will get one at that appointment, they usually tell you when you schedule the appointment if your next one will include a sonogram.

My OB scheduled me at 20 weeks for the gender scan but they offer a earlier scan starting at 15 weeks but you have to pay $70. We are having ours this Friday because I can't wait any longer! Ask the doctor and see if this is an option if you don't mind paying extra.

I got an ultrasound at 16 weeks and we saw the gender, got it confirmed at 20 weeks. I think it just depends on your doctor. I'm not high risk either.
