I've always dreamed of having three children but hubby says he's done and happy with our two children, he's worried about the financial side of things, my youngest has only just started sleeping through at 2.5! And he's worried he won't cope going through that all again? So where do we go from here? Will I always resent him? Will he resent me if we did have another child and it put a strain on the family financially? ?

You respect him and his decision. That's all you can do. He voiced his concerns, told you clearly that he doesn't even think he can cope, and is being very reasonable. Listen to what he has to say and deal with things as they come.

His feelings are as valid as yours and his fears all too real. Obviously a new baby is a financial burden and the obligation just keeps increasing as children grow. So I suggest you both try to understand and be compassionate to each other rather than festering in resentment. That said no child should be delibrately brought into the world when either of the parents have doubts.
