clean house and kids

I do not have kids so maybe I am crazy haha but my brother in law and a couple other people say how their house is always messy and dirty cause they have children. I get they take up a lot of your time, especially babies. But when I do have children I imagine I will try and keep up with my house. I am a clean freak like OCD haha does anyone have kids and have a clean house? I would love some insight. And again, since I don't have kids maybe I just don't really know
