HELP! Advice on "Flattening" my Belly Before the Belly Comes!
Okay ladies, this may sound odd, but I need to flatten my tummy before I get a tummy (if that makes sense). I am 5W and 5D preggers but had this belly before I was pregnant... I noticed it the past couple of months. I don't understand. I eat pretty clean (lots of organic stuff) and I don't eat a lot of sweets (or drink sweet drinks). I've been doing an intense 6 minute ab workout for the past week but I don't know if that will get rid of the fat.
The reason I am so concerned is because I am disabled (I hate claiming that over myself) but I have a fused ankle and a rod as my femur after a bad accident 7 years ago while I was in the Navy. After 11 surgeries, over a year and a half (collectively) non-weight bearing, and not being able to work out, I have remained 5'7" and between 138-145lbs. I need to try ONLY gain the average 30lbs or so unless I want to be on bed rest during the pregnancy (and want to risk my baby having diabetes as well as me having a more difficult delivery). I already use a mobility scooter when going "long distances" (which isn't far for most people) and a cane and or Walker around the house at times. My friend gained 62 with her first and I CAN'T. She was in labor 54 hours as well, which I heard can happen from extra weight gain. And she's not disabled! 😩 My husband already does SO MUCH around here and works over time out of town for work a lot (he's gone now). His main concern with having a baby is how he is going to have to "do it all." I have to be able to do this with my disability. Any suggestions?
