can an opk be wrong?

I got a very strong positive opk this morning and was just wondering if opk's can be wrong in detecting when you're about to ovulate?

Answer

Could be. I got my positive opk a week after I would have ovulated based solely on my period. So I assumed I ovulated a week late. The doctors have said the whole time that my baby is measuring as if I did ovulate on time (a week before my positive opk). So I am really confused. But if it says positive, go for it! What's the harm in trying?
