Sorry this is really gross. I know you guys aren't doctors but I'm trying to do whatever I can to avoid going to see an actual doctor so I'm asking if any of you have also experienced this and what you had to do? 

I have a really bad habit of ripping my nails off when I get anxious, and recently I've decided I wanted to try to stop and finally let my nails grow out. So for some reason I got anxious and decided to just rip off a toe nail instead. It ripped straight across and even out of the side, it left a hole and bled quite a bit and was satisfying for a minute. But a few days later my toe hurt really bad at work so I went to the bathroom to check it out and yeah it's obvious it's infected. 

It hurts like hell and I just want some tips on what to do to help heal it? Thanks in advance and sorry for the gross pic!
