I went and had my hospital visit yesterday to make sure the nurses know what I want during my labor. The nurse doing my paperwork said that their new thing is putting baby on mom for skin to skin and try breastfeeding for the first hour. Well last night my hubby got all upset about it and asked if he can just pick her up to hold her for a while before the skin to skin as this is his first birth he will be at and his baby girl. I told him it wouldn't hurt to wait an hour but he's still upset about it. I don't know what to tell him to make it easier for him to handle.
