Too much sex = ⬇️ sperm count?

So I just heard that having too much sex can lower sperm count when TTC. I've also heard that's not true. Have any of you ladies heard about this?

My OB explained to me it's kind of 50/50. Having crazy amounts of sex (like multiple times a day everyday) could lower it because his sperm wouldn't be given enough time to "recover". But then again, who knows. Kind of depends on your man.

Most fertility experts recommend sex every other day. It takes about 24 hours from the previous ejaculation for sperm to reach their peak motility. Having more frequent sex won't reduce the number of sperm necessarily (although if you are doing it multiple times a day each ejaculation WILL contain fewer sperm, and less fluid, because it takes time to build back up). However the sperm might be less energetic and never reach the egg if they aren't 100% mature. So it's best to wait at least 24 hours between to ensure sperm are in adequate condition.

Jut the honest truth here, lol me and hubby could not work out for the life of us when I was ovulating trc#1 in 2015 😂😂 I was very itregular. So we had sex and DTD every day of the month in September. Lol it worked guys. We now have a beautiful 1 1/2 year old lol.
