Interracial Dating

I'm a Caucasian female in a relationship with an American man who's parents are from India 🇮🇳. We've been together over 4 years. In the past 2 years we've been facing and overcoming some cultural and family background challenges. I believe even without the differences all relationships will have to learn, communicate, and compromise after the "in love" time has passed.

We are both committed at this point and while there has been talk of marriage in the past dealing with these challenges has put some strain on us. We both say we will end up together with kids but there doesn't seem to be any direct planning.

I'm bringing it up with him and we are getting to a MUCH better place. I have hope that it will happen I just don't want to put too much emphasis on it just yet.

Is anyone else in/have been in a interracial relationship? What has been your experience?
