IUD removed, now TTC. possible issues?

I talked to my doctors nurse today and she said my periods could be irregular for 2 months after my IUD was taken out.(IUD was removed Oct. 30th) I am currently almost 1 week late and still getting BFN. 💔 
My periods were regular before the IUD, when I had the IUD I always got my period the same time each month but I bled for almost 2 weeks. 😞 (I had it removed because of bleeding issues) 
My cycles always went back to normal after getting off a birth control (I tried a pill pack and had bleeding issues as well) 😕 it seems like my cycle went back to normal but I'm almost a week late and still no AF or a BFP.

For the ladies that had an IUD, did you have irregular periods after it being removed? Also how long after it was removed did you get your BFP?

I didn't get my period at all in November due to IUD removal. But OPK showed I ovulated about a week ago so crossing my fingers!

I had mine removed in September 2016. I had the 10 year copper IUD. My period remained the same just much lighter and less PMS. We started TTC at the end of October so this will be our 2nd cycle. I won't know until after the 17th. Good luck!

Did you have copper or the Mirena??

I had my Mirena out in September and my doctor told me that because Mirena releases hormones, it can take up to 6 months for your cycle to become normal. I didn't ovulate until a month after my Mirena was removed, and then I got pregnant. I am miscarrying (not related to the IUD I don't think) but I did get pregnant right away, so it's possible. According to my apps I was like a week or so overdue for my AF when I finally got a BFP, because I ovulated so late.

LMP 10th of Nov, had regular avg 30 day cycle before Mirena, on Mirena still had a monthly period. Mirena removed 21st, BD'd a couple times that week and had my post removal bleeding in between the BD. I started spotting from the 30th until the 5th.. My body feels so out of tune. I assume it was a progesterone drop, my body is probably freaking out wondering where the hormones went now that it actually has to work to make them again.. maybe next time I'll get the copper since it has no hormones.

I had the mirena for 3 years - always had regular (light) periods that were like clock work with the implant - my periods stayed regular after the mirena was removed March 2016 but were a lot heavier. I had two cycles that my period was late - first late cycle was in May... my period came two days late and my second late period was in August... never got that period but got my BFP instead 😊 took us 4-5 months to conceive after removal (not sure if i conceived late July or early August) - we are expecting a baby girl April 2017 😀 Baby dust to you!
