No judgement, please.
I posted this in general pregnancy, and I'll try here too to get the most straightforward answer
I am 38 weeks pregnant. I've suffered with hypermisis (SEVERE) morning sickness throughout this entire pregnancy. I throw up from morning to night. To top it off, I have also developed multiple kidney stones, and have been trying to let them pass. I've been in excruciating pain and nausea for the last couple months and have even been hospitalized. I've refused narcotics and have tried not to rely on my nausea medicine because of how worried I am to hurt my baby. I had to do something though, and coming from Oregon (I live in Texas now), one thing that I know is safe and brings real relief to people is cannabis. I did me research and understand that it has been used for centuries to treat hypermisis and even help in labor. I finally couldn't handle my nausea any more, and ingested a small amount of cannabis oil. The relief was unlike anything I could expect. It was the only thing that truly worked. But now I'm scared, will they drug test me during labor and take my baby? I really feel I had no other choice, and I was finally able to keep food down. My husband and I are successful, have a safe home and family around to welcome our little one into the world. I am asking if any of you have experience or know someone who has gone through this. Is drug testing mandatory? I would never be suspected of being a negligent mother.
