12 week appointment was scary!
Today was both terrifying and informative. I had a 12 week check today that was supposed to be just a heart beat check with a Doppler. My doctor sat there for 5 min (the longest 5 min of my life) trying to find the heartbeat.."I hear the baby moving but I can't get a heartbeat...." my heart started to race and fear swept over my entire body. "Let's get you into an ultrasound room and make sure everything is okay. "Could something be wrong" was all I could say, choking over my words. "Well it's a possibility the baby stopped growing and you had a miscarriage, but we are going to check and make sure that's not what happened" I'm glad my doctor was honest with what could have happened but nothing could prepare me for what came out of her mouth. I am so lucky to have the support of my husband and my son there to both give me huge hugs and kisses and try to keep me as calm as possible. As I waited in the ultrasound room all I could do was try my hardest to keep calm. Once the ultrasound started she said with so much relief in her voice "the baby is just fine, just moving a lot! Heart beat sounds great and looks great 150 bpm!" My whole body relaxed as she told me our baby was okay and growing well! I was so happy to hear this and then I remembered I drank coffee right before my appointment and mentioned this to her and she told me that definitely could have been the cause of the baby moving so much! We are so relieved and happy everything is okay with our little sprout!![](https://asset-cf-cdn.glowing.com/forum/b4eccd664e40fd88868642fb4f3c23ea.jpg)

UPDATE***
For those saying it's too early to find the heart beat I have been able to find it since I was 10 weeks this is why it was so terrifying for me and my family. Also I appreciate all of the similar stories! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has gone through this! I hope we all have a happy and healthy pregnancy with no issues! ❤️❤️❤️
