Okay so this is going to be a bit lengthy, but I need some outside advice. Not sure if it fits CC but.. My cousin's birthday is in two days and she'll be turning 18. We've always been super close because we're only 10 months apart (I'm older). I used to live in Florida but moved however over the summer, I went back to spend time with my cousin who was actually having a few problems at home and school. While I was there, I found out she'd been talking to some guy in Louisiana over Skype. For anyone who doesn't know, Skype is an app on your phone or comp that you use to make video calls.

I wouldn't have minded her talking to him if he wasn't disrespectful. He didn't like me because I always had an opinion and he called my cousin a bitch a few times; to which I corrected him on how to talk to a girl. He would also ask my cousin to do things she was not comfortable with. Why she talked to him? I have no idea. But if that wasn't enough my grandma had no knowledge of this for months! He also had a crazy ex that I could write a page about. So I did what I thought was right and snitched. Problem is, my cousin doesn't like me anymore.

I left FL back in August and the ONLY time she has spoken to me since then was in a text that she sent by accident in November. (Pictured) My question is, should I call her to wish her happy birthday? Or continue to wait? I honestly just want the tension to go away and our relationship to continue. Thoughts?
