does progesterone stop bleeding?

I was spotting for about a week. My doctor said my progesterone level was a little low and that's why. Gave me progesterone pills to take twice a day. Been on them for 5 days and looks like my spotting has stopped!!!! Is this okay? Normal? lol

Oh ok I was kinda scared : / in hoping the doctor caught it quick enough. And since mine wasn't so low. I asked if she thought I was miscarrying and the nurse said oh no, we don't start to worry until the level is 5 or below. I hope the pills boost it up though

I have seen people say that. With my first i was spotting everytime inwent to the bathroom and progesterone did help me i had a MC at 11 weeks. This time my progesterone is a little low so thay put me on them again and i just spotted a little brown yesterday after being on them for several days so im super frustrated and worried but i think the idea is that progesterone should stop you from spotting if all else is ok
