echogenic bowel
This is my first pregnancy at 24 years old. After passing the California Parental Screening (which test for birth defects and other things the baby could be born) with flying colors and strong numbers, I get to my 20 week exam and now they say my baby has botherline echogenic bowel . Leaving me clueless the entire weekend , I have so many questions ! My doctor is out of the off all week me so my nurse practitioner called me to explain that echogenic bowel is a soft marker for downs. I now have to meet with a pregnant specialist AGAIN & genetic counselor. I am extremely terrified . Myself as well as my husband are NOT carriers of cystic fibrosis either. After my 12 week NIT SCAN of my baby boys neck which usually can be a marker for Down syndrome, the specialist assured me I would pass all test . She was 95% sure now this !!!!!!! Monday can't come fast enough. 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
